PURPOSE:To prevent an unnatural force imposed to the rod of a trim cylinder and the like, by furnishing a swivel member to oscillate freely at the top of the rod of the trim cylinder, and arranging a rod bearing to support rollers at a swivel bracket opposing the swivel member. CONSTITUTION:When an outboard motor is at the position A just before the trimming, a rod bearing 18 is placed at a position with a sharp angle, and a swivel member 15 is placed at an inclined position bending its neck to the rod 13. Then by extending the rod 13 by a trim cylinder 11, the swivel member 15 pushes a rod bearing 18 to push up a swivel bracket 7. In this case, although the rod 13 moves straight on the line L, the rod bearing 18 goes up in an arc form, and displaced to a horizontal position as it moves to the pistons B and C. And the swivel member 15 follows the displacement of the rod bearing 18 through the rotation of rollers 21 when the rod bearing 18 is displaced to the right side or left side from the line L. |
