The tube has an oxygen barrier film. The clamping rinq comprises two parts which are brought together by tightening the nuts and bolts that pass through holes in the flanges. Adjacent to flanges diverge and when the nuts and bolts are tightened, they deform to touch each other. The dia. of the coupling rinq is then less than the outer dia. of the tube. USE/ADVANTAGE - Coupling to polyethylene tube which has an oxygen barrier layer. The oxygen barrier layer is not damaged by the coupling. (Provisional Basic previously advised in week 8925) |
