PURPOSE:To surely prevent a high pressure working fluid from being leaked to a low-pressure side by forming a vane freely projecting and retreating in the radial direction of a rotor with at least tow vane constituting pieces and bringing each constituting piece constantly in pressure contact with sliding side faces on both sides of a casing by means of a pushing means. CONSTITUTION:A slide vane type air compressor accommodates a cylindrical rotor 7 eccentrically and rotatably in a casing 1 in which a suction port 5 and a discharge port 6 are provided at the positions facing each other, and freely projecting and retreating vanes 10 are fitted in plural vane-engaging slots 9 in radial directions, while they are formed at fixed intervals in the circumferential direction of the rotor 7 respectively. In this case, each vane 10 is formed of a pair of vane constituting pieces 11 and 12. Magnets 12 and 14 are also arranged as pushing means on internal sliding faces 11C and 12C facing to respective constituting pieces 11 and 12, and said constituting pieces 11 and 12 are made to slide in directions of arrows B and C by mean of resiliency of both magnets 2 and 14, and brought in pressure contact with each sliding side face 4A of the casing 1. |
