<p>PURPOSE:To enable an accurate stop control by means of a small number of parts by predicting the total period of time until a capstan motor is completely stopped, and by supplying a brake voltage or current only for that period to stop said motor. CONSTITUTION:When a capstan motor is braked to a stop by means of a microcomputer 5, a rotating state of the capstan motor based on the supply of a brake voltage or current is actually measured by a timing operation of a timer counter 5e. The total period of time until the capstan motor is completely stopped, is predicted by CPU 5b from results of this measurement. The brake voltage is supplied till termination of this predicted total period of time.</p> |
