PURPOSE:To improve heat resistance by specifying the proportions of Cr, Co, Mo, C, and halides and by carrying out sintering to the prescribed density. CONSTITUTION:This valve seat of sintered alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight, 12-25% Cr, 1.5-9% Co, 0.6-4.2% Mo, 1.5-4% C, 0.5-5% calcium fluoride or barium fluoride, and the balance Fe and is sintered to >=7.3g/cm<2> density. The above alloy has excellent heat-resisting strength.
