PURPOSE:To prevent variation of gradation and turbidity of color even in the case of rapid color development processing by incorporating a specified 2-equivalent magenta coupler and a specified 4-equivalent magneta coupler in a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion layer contains at least one of the 2-equivalent magenta couplers represented by formula I, and at least one of the 4-equivalent magenta couplers represented by formula II. In formulae I and II, each of Ar1 and Ar2 is phenyl having >=1 substituents; R1 is alkyl or aryl; R2 is hydroxy, halogen, or the like; each of R3 and R4 is halogen or alkyl; each of X1 and X2 is halogen or alkoxy; n is an integer of 0-4; when n is >=2, each of plural R2 may be same or different; each of m and m' is 0 or 1. |
