PURPOSE:To enable accurate acquirement of an output signal following a peak value of an input signal, by providing a capacitor to hold an output voltage of a peak detector section. CONSTITUTION:A sampling switch 14 is connected to the output side of a peak detection circuit 10 as second switch which is ON controlled when a peak value is sampled while a sample holding capacitor 15 is inserted between the switch 14 and the ground as second capacitor which samples and holds a peak hold value with the switch 14 ON. A circuit having a diode property is provided in parallel with the second switch on the side of a sample holding circuit to send an output of the peak detection circuit to an output terminal unilaterally. With such an arrangement, as an output of the peak detection circuit becomes larger than the sample hold value when the second switch is turned OFF, it can be sampled and held in the second capacitor 15 through the circuit having a unilateral diode property and thus, an output voltage always can be obtained following the peak value.
