PURPOSE:To enable qualitative and quantitative analyses by coating the stationary phase of a chemical bond type molten silica capillary column with a non- volatile phosphoric acid. CONSTITUTION:The stationary phase of the chemical bond type molten silica capillary column is coated with the phosphoric acid which is the non-volatile strong acid. Then, the adsorption of the acidic compd. in the column is decreased even if said column is used for the acidic compd. such as carboxylic acid and phenol. The qualitative and quantitative analyses down to a low concn. region are thus executed without tailing of the peak of a chromatogram.
