PURPOSE:To disperse uniformly a filler, etc. in a plastic base material, by setting zigzag multi-numbers of parallel grooves in a cylinder of a melt-mixing mechanism consisting of a cylinder and a rotating screw. CONSTITUTION:Multi-numbers of relatively short grooves are arranged zigzag on the inner wall of a cylinder in a plasticizing and kneading zone. A polymer melt 4 containing solid beds 5 in its center is cut at the top surface of a flight 22 by rotating a screw 2 and the part remaining in the groove joins in a body with a polymer meter 4' sent afterward from a screw flight 23 to prepare a polymer melt 4'' containing two solid beds 5, 5'. Therefore, the polymer melt 4'' moves circularly and the solid beds 5 is mixed with the polymer melt 4''. At the same time, secondary particles of a filler are destroyed by a shearing force and dispersed to fine primary particles. |
