PURPOSE:To protect an optical recording layer against moisture and oxygen and to improve the corrosion resistance thereof by coating the recording layer with inorg. protective films. CONSTITUTION:The inorg. protective film 3 is formed on a substrate 2 and the optical recording layer 4 is formed on the protective film 3. The inorg. protective film 5 is superposed and formed on the recording layer 4. The recording layer 4 is coated with the inorg. protective film in the above-mentioned manner, by which the isolation of the recording layer 4 from moisture and oxygen by the protective films 3 and 5 is executed and the corrosion resistance of the recording layer 4 is improved.
