<p>PURPOSE:To digitally and accurately display the amplitude, attenuation quantity, and offset voltage of a signal by providing a control circuit which varies in gain logarithmically with a supply current and outputting the signal through an attenuator. CONSTITUTION:An exponent computing element 60 receives a variable control voltage for controlling the value of the supply current which is the output of a current supply circuit 50 through a terminal 88, performs analog exponent arithmetic operation, and outputs the result to a terminal 90. A digital display circuit 14 receives and displays the output of an A/D converter 13. A display signal generator 15 knows the position of the step of the attenuator 12 to generate a digital point and a unit display signal of mV, V, etc., and applies them to the digital display circuit 14. The gain is varied continuously between 1-0.1 by controlling the current supplied to a control circuit and the attenuator attenuates the signal to 1, 1/10, 1/100, 1/1,000, etc., to digitally display the amplitude of the signal and the value of the offset value.</p> |
