<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain highly efficient and safe conveying and storage facilities for hollow cylindrical articles, by providing a stacker crane provided with a safety against overturning device having a mechanism for shifting articles from a warehouse. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 14 receives a delivery confirmation signal from an overhead crane 4 and a receiving signal from an introduction carrier vehicle 11, and therefore confirms that wire materials 2 are surely delivered to a designated position. The receiving and delivering of the articles 2 are carried out by a stacker crane with the use of a slide of a slidable, article receiving fork 21 set on an article receiving bed 8 and a safety against overturning device 20 for preventing the stacker crane 10 from overturning. The articles 2 are retained by elevating a rod 27 connected to a cylinder 30 for a safety against overturning device attached to the article receiving bed 28.</p> |
