PURPOSE:To use a usual lens unit for manual focusing, as well, by forming a coupling for connecting a lens unit for auto focusing and a lens driving source, and an interface for connecting them, in an external unit. CONSTITUTION:When a camera is turned to an object to be photographed and a release button 25 is pushed, a light beam is made incident into a camera body 1 through a lens group, and with respect to a part of the light beam which is led to a finder 14 by a half mirror 12, whether a focused position of a lens group of a lens unit 2 is in a fixed focus, or in a front focus or rear focus of said focus is decided by a focusing detecting member 13. In case of the front focus or the rear focus, a lens driving source 16 is operated, and a movable cylinder is driven in the focusing direction through outputting/ receiving of a signal by a coupling 19 and an interface 20. Also, when an external unit 17 is removed, and the lens unit 2 is interchanged with a lens unit for manual focusing, it is used as a focus aid by focusing detection. |
