PRODUCTION OF THIN METALLIC PLATE FOR SHADOW MASK

摘要

PURPOSE:To efficiently produce a thin plate for a high grade shadow mask by highly cold rolling an Fe-Ni alloy material, annealing the resulting thin plate at the recrystallization temp. or above and cold working it so as to provide a specified surface roughness and a specified average interval of the ruggedness of the surface roughness. CONSTITUTION:An Ni-Fe alloy material for a shadow mask is highly cold rolled at >=80% draft and the resulting thin plate is annealed at the recrystallization temp. or above so a to regulate the grain size to grain size No. >=about 8.0. The thin plate is then cold rolled at 3-15% draft with dull rolls so as to regulate the surface roughness Ra to 0.2-0.7mum and the average interval of the ruggedness of the surface roughness to 100mum. When the cold rolled thin plate is used, a high quality shadow mask having holes whose diameter and shape are nearly uniform and causing no unevenness is obtd.
