PURPOSE:To enhance cooling efficiency, by additionally providing a cooling device which forcedly cools a part of high pressure gas, delivered from a compressor to the outside of a casing, to be thereafter introduced into the casing. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 12 and a motor 13 are provided in an enclosed casing 11, and an expansion machine 14, adiabatically expanding high pressure gas from the compressor 12, is provided. A cooling device 15, which forcedly cools a part of the high pressure gas delivered from the compressor 12 and introduces the cooled gas into the casing 11, is provided. Accordingly, the cooled gas, cooled by the cooling device 15 to a predetermined temperature, can be directly blown to the compressor 12 and the motor 13, and a cooling effect is enhanced.
