PURPOSE:To moderate the pulsation of intake air and to improve the output by arranging a fuel injection valve and a throttle valve in an intake tube while opening the upstream side thereof to an air chamber and providing a pressure wave reflector which occupies half of the area at the open end section of the air chamber of the intake tube. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection valve 38 and a throttle valve 36 are disposed in an intake tube 30 with the upstream side thereof opening to an air chamber 32 such as an air cleaner. A pressure wave reflector 40 occupying half of the area at the open end section to the air chamber 32 of the intake tube 30 is provided at said open end section. Consequently, when a negative pressure wave of a pulsating intake air is reflected at an open end 34, the air flows in from an intake air cleaner 32 so as to reflect said negative pressure air as a positive pressure air. When colliding against the reflector 40, said negative pressure wave remains as it is as a negative pressure wave. Since the reflected positive pressure wave and the negative pressure wave are cancelled to eliminate the pressure wave, influence of the pulsating intake air can be eliminated.
