PURPOSE:To increase transfer ratio of fibers in the first card to about twice, by providing two small-diameter doffers and stripping rolls in place of the first doffer in a tandem card consisting of two connected single cards. CONSTITUTION:A tandem card obtained by removing the first doffer contained in the first card and providing two small-diameter doffers 8 and 9 and a stripping roll 10 in place thereof in forming the tandem card from two connected single cards. For example, the diameter of the upper small-diameter roll 8 is 165mm and that of the lower small-diameter roll 9 is 222mm in comparison with 685mm diameter of the conventional first doffer. The diameter of the stripping roll 10 is 508mm. The peripheral speed of the two small-diameter rolls 8 and 9 is preferably mutually different. An intermediate transfer roll may be provided between the stripping roll 10 and the second cylinder 11 as necessary.
