The device (10) has a heating element (14) for heating of cooking vessels. An evaluation unit (20) determines a parameter concerning heating efficiency of the cooking vessels. The evaluation unit determines an efficient heating position (18) for the cooking vessels based on the parameter of the cooking vessels and outputs information concerning the parameter of the cooking vessels over an output unit (22). The evaluation unit outputs positional information over the heating position. The output unit comprises a direction symbol that indicates a displacement direction of the heating position. The heating elements are designed as induction coils, and the cooking vessels are designed as induction pots or induction pans. |
