PURPOSE:To perfectly prevent an engine from damage, by providing a circuit which suspends electrification to a starter even if a starting switch, when it is placed from an on-condition to an off-condition, is turned on in a predetermined condition. CONSTITUTION:A battery 1, starting switch 2 and an engine starting starter 4 responsively actuated to said switch 2 are provided. The pressure of oil increases during cranking in cold time, and even if a contact 6 is placed in an off-condition, the starter 4 is maintained being driven. Next, an engine is confirmed to be started, and if the switch 2 is returned to a position IG, driving of the starter is suspended by stopping the action of a relay 3. Thereafter, the relay 3 is not actuated even if the key switch 2 is placed in a position ST because the oil pressure switch 6 is in an off-condition as far as the engine is rotated, and the starter is prevented from being actuated. In this way, the engine can be perfectly prevented from damage.
