PURPOSE:To enhance the throughput of a recording apparatus while making it possible to automatically start paper feed operation without awaiting the completion of paper delivery operation, by performing the feed operation of the next paper simultaneously with the delivery operation of the sheet when there is a printing order on the way of the delivery operation of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:After the finish of the recording of one page, a feeder motor 9 is reversely rotated to drive a delivery roller 11 to deliver a sheet 5 and, when printing data is inputted during this time, the feeder motor 9 is immediately changed over to positive rotation and the delivery roller 11 is driven as it is and, at the same time, a sheet feed roller 10 is driven to supply the next sheet 5 to a platen 1. Because the feed operation of the next sheet is performed simultaneously with the delivery operation of the sheet when a printing order arrives on the way of the delivery operation of the sheet, the sheet feed operation can be automatically started without awaiting the completion of sheet delivery operation and the throughput of recording operation can be enhanced. |
