PURPOSE:To obtain the titled body having improved sensitivity and uniformity of picture image by incorporating a specific azo pigment to an electrostatic charge generating layer as an electrostatic charge generating substance. CONSTITUTION:The titled body is composed of an undercoating layer 13, the electrostatic charge generating layer 15 and an electrostatic charge transfer layer 17 which are mounted on a conductive substrate body 11. The layer 13 contains an alcohol soluble nylon as a main component, and the layer 15 contains a thermoplastic polyester and or polymethylmethacrylate as a binder, and contains the azo pigment shown by formula I or II as the carge generating substance. In the formulas, A<1> of the formula I is a group shown by formula III or IV, A<2> of the formula II is a group shown by formula III, IV or V, X is an aromatic ring or a heterocyclic ring such as a benzofuran ring, etc. Ar<1> and Ar<3> are each an aromatic ring or a heterocyclic ring such as a benzofuran, etc., Ar<2> is an aromatic ring, R<1> and R<3> are each H, a lower alkyl or phenyl group, R<2> is a lower alkyl, a phenyl, a carboxyl group or an ester thereof. |
