PURPOSE:To store image information with high resolution in quantities by charging an image storage body in a vacuum chamber and moving it from outside. CONSTITUTION:Take-up shafts 41 and 42, magnets 501 and 502, a stage 101, a beam scanning part 21, an electron gun 23, etc., are stored in a holding container 102, wherein a vacuum is produced. A driving shaft for moving the storage body 4 is driven with electromagnetic force from outside the vacuum holding container. When a camera 100 is in image recording operation, a driving circuit 208 is powered on by the battery pack in the camera and the storage body 4 is moved intermittently at specific timing to record optical images, plane by plane, on the storage body as latent images.
