This invention is intended for use, in particular, in the private or catering sector. It constitutes a genuine aid to manual washing-up. The constant, previous immersion of the sponge-guiding hand in the hot washing-up water is dispensed with. The clamping fixture with handle for foam-material sponge consists of the baseplate and the two clamps, the handle which is either directly connected to the baseplate or fitted on to it. As an accessory, one or more integrated scrapers may be employed to deal with stubborn dirt. The assembly of the foam-material sponge can be handled easily by anyone.
