PURPOSE:To reduce unrequired radiation of a horizontal deflection magnetic field by a method wherein the magnetic field generated by canceling coils toroidally wound on the core forms the inverse magnetic field to the horizontal deflection magnetic field leaking outside the main body of the deflection yoke. CONSTITUTION:In a deflection yoke device, horizontal deflection coils 2, 3, vertical coils 4, 5 and canceling coils 8, 9 are energized by the prescribed currents respectively. Thereby, the unrequired radiation HR leaking outside the main body of the deflection yoke 7, which is a part of the horizontal deflection magnetic field HB generated by the horizontal deflection coils 2, 3, and the canceling magnetic field Hc generated by the canciling coils 8, 9 toroidally wound on a part of the core 1 through an auxiliary bobbin 10 on which the vertical deflection coils 4, 5 are not wound form opposite phase magnetic fields with each other. Thus, said unrequired radiation HR is reduced being partly canceled by the canceling magnetic field Hc. |
