PURPOSE:To generate no optical transmission loss caused by a difference in structures, by attaching an optical fiber to one piece of block body so as to be immobile, dividing the block body into two together with the optical fiber, and obtaining both the optical fiber which has been held by a moving block, and the optical fiber which has been held by a fixed block. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 1 and a block body 2 which have been formed integrally are cut in the direction being orthogonal to the axial direction of the optical fiber 1, in a prescribed part of the block body 2, for instance, in the center part, and the optical fiber 1 and the block body 2 are divided into two. As a result, a moving block 2a and a fixed block 2b are obtained from one piece of block body 2, and simultaneously, an optical fiber 1a which has been held by the moving block 2a, and an optical fiber 1b which has been held by the fixed block 2b can be obtained. In this regard, as for at least a cutting plane of the optical fiber 1a, a polishing finish is executed as an end face processing. In this way, when each optical fiber has been accurately opposed, an optical transmission loss caused by a difference of structure parameters of both the optical fibers are not generated at all. |
