METHOD FOR PREVENTING AGING OF STARCH SIZING LIQUID

PURPOSE:To prevent aging of a sizing liquid even after gelatinization of starch, without deteriorating the characteristics of the sizing liquid, by adding a specific amount of polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ether to a starch sizing liquid. CONSTITUTION:The aging of a starch liquid is prevented by adding one or more kinds of polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ethers (e.g. polyoxyethylene nonylphenyl ether) which is a nonionic surfactant at an amount of 0.05-5wt% based on starch.
