PURPOSE:To improve the resistance of the titled body to corrosive ions by coating the thin film of at least one kind among Zr, Ti, Ta, and Nb on a metallic magnetic medium as the first layer, forming a lubricating layer consisting of a carbonaceous film as the second layer, and forming a solid lubricating layer other than the carbonaceous film as the third layer. CONSTITUTION:The metallic magnetic thin film medium is formed on a substrate, and then at least one kind of substance selected from Zr, Ti, Ta, and Nb is coated as the first layer. The carbonaceous film is then coated as the second layer, and further the solid lubricating layer other than the carbonaceous film is formed as the third layer. Consequently, the corrosion resistance to water and chlorine is remarkably improved, the friction coefficient between the storage body and the recording reproducing head is remarkably reduced, and a magnetic storage body with enhanced mechanical reliability can be obtained. |
