PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a control line for nighttime blocking by retrieving a connection destination in a storage device corresponding to a dial-in line where there is incoming while ignoring an extension specifying signal re ceived from the dial-in line at the time of the nighttime switching of a private branch exchange, and then connecting said destination. CONSTITUTION:If there is an incoming signal to one of trunk line trunks TRK 8a, 8b,-8m from a public network 10 through the dial-in line in daytime, it is connected to one of telephone sets 1a, 1b,-1n. This connection with the telephone set is controlled by receiving the extension specifying signal by a register REG 9 from the public network 10 and bringing a SW 7 under the control of a central controller CC 11. When there is an incoming call from the dial-in line to one of the TRKs 8a, 8b,-8m in nighttime, the CC 11 ignores the extension specifying signal received by the REG 9 and reads connection destination information corresponding to the trunk line trunk stored in a storage device MEM 12 to control the SW 7, thereby performing connection control. Consequently, the control line for nighttime blocking can be omitted.
