PURPOSE:To obtain the title material having excellent image quality and improved max. optical density and less tendency for generating fog by incorporating a particle formed from a polymer of a coloring matter affording substance together with a high b.p. solvent to the title material, and by constituting the title material at a specific wt. ratio of the coloring matter affording substance and the high b.p. solvent. CONSTITUTION:The title material contains the particle formed from the coloring matter affording substance (the former) together with the high b.p. solvent (the latter) and has 0.05-4.0 of the wt. ratio of the latter to the former. The former is a polymer having a repeating unit derived from the monomer of the former shown by formula (1) or (2) wherein Q is an ethylenically unsatd. group, Cp1 and Cp2 are each an org. group capable of forming or releasing a diffusible coloring matter by reacting it with an oxidant of a reading agent, X is a bivalent binding group which is binded with active points of Cp1 and Cp2. (n) is 0 or 1, Dye is a residue of the diffusible coloring matter. Thus, the title material having excellent picture quality and high max. density of the image and less tendency for generating fog is obtd. by using the polymer of the coloring matter affording substance. |
