<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of winding layer on a coil and to obtain a horizontal transformer flattened as much as possible, by providing a core having two or more legs with coils on all or specific two or more legs thereof, connecting the coils on each leg to provide input and output coils. CONSTITUTION:A coil body 5 is composed of a lower primary coil section 5a and an upper secondary coil section 5b. A coil body 6 is composed of a lower primary section 6a and an upper secondary coil section 6b. The primary coil sections 5a and 6a and the secondary coil sections 5b and 6b of the coil bodies 5 and 6 are connected in series, respectively. Since magnetic fluxes phia, phib are generated in cores 1 and 2, the coil bodies 5 and 6 can be used as a step-up or step-down transformer. Though the lengths of the cores 1 and 2 in the directions of the left and right legs form a relation of L<L1, the lengths between the peripheral faces of the coil bodies form a relation of W1<W since the width S1 of the coil layers located outside the cores 1 and 2 is reduced. Thus, a small transformer flattened sufficiently can be obtained.</p> |
