PURPOSE:To repeatedly transmit a fault information by switching a transmission data at the time of detecting the abnormality or when the exchange of control information between a remote line concentrator and an exchange office becomes impossible. CONSTITUTION:A remote line concentrator control part 21 resets a monitoring circuit 23 periodically, however if said resetting is not executed for a prescribed time, the circuit 23 issues a switching-request to a selector 26 so that a faulty information transmission circuit 24 is connected to a digital line interface 27. Also, the part 21, in case of detecting the abnormality in the exchange of control information through a high-level transmission control circuit 22, issues a switching-request similarly, to switch the selector 26. The circuit 24 consists of a shifter and a counter circuit to generate a shift clock to load on the shifter the faulty monitoring locations in the respective circuits in the remote concentra tor to transmit them. The circuit 24 repeatedly transmits the content of the sifter to the interface 27.
