PURPOSE:To shorten the time and to reduce the manufacturing cost, when manufacturing a plastic ink jet printer head, by employing a supersonic welding technology for jointing component parts. CONSTITUTION:When a plastic substrate 1 and a plastic ink container 3 are supersonic-welded, an energy director 4 is provided at a jointing position so as to facilitate the conversion of supersonic energy into thermal energy. Furthermore, a positioning pin 5 and a positioning pin guide hole 6 are provided so as to prevent the shifting of parts due to the supersonic wave. A plastic substrate 2 having such a structure and the plastic ink container 3 are secured by means of a part-securing-jig 8, then a supersonic wave is applied from a supersonic welder horn through a bracket 9. Consequently, the tip section of the energy director 4 is fused by a frictional heat and cooled after the stoppage of application of supersonic wave, thus welding the substrate 2 with the ink container 3. The burrs to be produced during the welding are trapped by a flush trap 7 and do not enter into a tank. |
