PURPOSE:To equalize the clamping pressure in the details of a cell body by installing a pressure equalizing spacer composed of a hollow vessel filled with air or oil and metal bellows on at least either of intervals between the cell body and upper/lower clamping metal fittings. CONSTITUTION:A cell body 1, which is formed by laminating a plurality of unit cell, is clamped by clamping metal fittings 2,3 arranged on the upper and lower portion thereof to form a fuel cell. In this case, a pressure equalizing spacer 6 is formed with a hollow vessel 6a filled with air or oil and plural metal bellows 6b, filled with air or oil, which are attached on one side of the hollow vessel 6a in such a way as being interconnected thereto. The spacer 6 is inserted in either of intervals between the battery body 1 and upper/lower clamping metal fittings 2,3 so as to be clamped. Therefore, it is possible to equalize the clamping pressure in the details of the battery body 1 so as to stabilize the output characteristic of the cell. |
