PURPOSE:To visually display the residue of and efficacy end point of a volatile drug indirectly and accurately, by using substance with the volatilizing rate equal to that of the drug. CONSTITUTION:An indicator body is made of an electron donative coloring organic compound, which was previously caused to form color (or desensitize color) by a developer (or a desensitizer) and subjected to a desensitization by a desensitizer (or a developer) and is formed on a holding body made of paper or the like by being held thereon by coating or other method and applied on a volatile drug or a packing body in an easily visible manner. The desensitizer (or the developer) of the indicator body shall be a composition which comprises a volatile drug identical to the volatile drug used or a volatile compound with the volatilizing rate the same as that of the volatile drug. The composition is selected from existing products together with the developer (or the desensitizer) to match the volatilizing property of the volatile drug used so that a color will be formed by a developer (or desensitized by a desensitizer) after the action of color desensitization (or color formation) thereof vanishes. The changes in color with time of the indicator indicates the condition of the drug.
