<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate automation of operation at an operation station by positioning a body to a regular position in relation to a hanger at a positioning station just before the operation station, with no forcible power acted onto a reference hole. CONSTITUTION:A positioning station S2 is arranged just before an operation station S1 in order to provide the positioning station S2 a with positioning device, equipped with a detecting means 11 for detecting the position of a reference hole C1 of the bottom face of the body and a locate pin 8 for fitting into reference hole C1. And, after a hangar 2 is stopped at a regular position of said positioning station S2, first, the position of the reference hole C1 of an automobile body (a) placed on the hanger 2 is detected by the detecting means 11. The locate pin 8 is moved to the position right below the referece hole C1, then is fitted into the reference hole C1 in order to lift the automobile body (c) from the hanger 2. And, after the automobile body (a) is positioned in the regular position in relation to the hanger 2 by motion of the locate pin 8 it is placed onto the hanger 2 for transport.</p> |
