PURPOSE:To obtain a multi-nozzle ink jet head which can be manufactured easily without increasing the complexity even if the number of nozzle is increased, by jointing a single piezoelectric material substrate acting as a vibration board in an ink chamber to the backface section of the heat while forming electodes respectively on the backface and an intermediate layer in the direction of thickness of said piezoelectric material substrate at a position corresponding to respective ink chambers. CONSTITUTION:An individual electrode 12 and a mutually conducting common electrode 13 are formed on the backface and an intermediate layer in the direction of the thickness of a piezoelectric material substrate 11 such as ceramics having the same area with that of a heat body 10 at a position corresponding to respective ink chambers 2. An individual electromechanical conversion element is constituted between individual electrode 12 and common electrode 13. A bimorph structure vibrartion board/multi- electromechanical conversion element 15 where the ink chamber section 14 of the electrode 13 in the intermediate layer constitutes a vibration board is formed and adhered to the backface of the head body 10. The electromagnetic conversion element in the head is not a conventional individual member but an integral member, thereby only the electrode pattern varies even when the number of nozzle increases. |
