According to this invention, an array of light-emitting units comprises a plurality of light-emitting elements (22) arranged in a straight line and a first group of terminal areas (24a, 24b) arranged in two rows in a mutually offset manner alongside the light-emitting elements (22) and electrically connected to corresponding light-emitting elements (22). In addition, the array comprises a second group of terminal areas (27a, 27b, 27c) designed for electrical connection to corresponding driver units. The second group of terminal areas (27a, 27b, 27c) is arranged in a mutually offset manner in the form of three rows and opposite the first group of terminal areas (24a, 24b). The centre spacings at which the terminal areas (27a) of the second-group row situated nearest the first group of terminal areas (24a, 24b) are twice as large as the centre spacings between the light-emitting diodes (22). The terminal areas (27b, 27c) of the two remaining rows of the second group are arranged at a centre spacing from one another which is four times that between the light-emitting diodes (22). <IMAGE> |
