PURPOSE:To always record a picture having 2 different screen angles on a film with no positional deviation by scanning the 1st light beam in the main scanning direction to read the picture information on an original document, processing the obtained picture signals to modulate the 2nd light beam for picture recording and projecting the modulated beam on a photosensitive material as dot signals. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam L is secanned over a film F through a gap part formed between nip rollers 88 and 90. The end of the 1st picture recording is detected after the continuous scan of the light L and when a photodetecting means 41 reads the bar code sattached to a mobile plate 200, for example. Then a laser beam source 52 is driven again at an angle deflected by 30 deg. from the screen angle at which the 1st picture is carried out. Thus the 2nd picture scan is started. In other words, a motor 84 is driven toward an arrow head C and the rollers 88 and 90 are pressed against a rotary drum 82 for feed of the film F. Thus the picture recording is carried out.
