TIME BASE CORRECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the misregistration of a luminance signal high frequency component recorded and reproduced together with a chrominance signal by providing a phase selector and an edge detector, detecting color framing information and feeding it back to a color under VTR. CONSTITUTION:The composite video signal of the color under VTR output is inputted to a time base correcter 2, a horizontal synchronization separator 3 from a terminal 1. The time base correcter 2 reads data by the reading clock and the address synchronizing in phase synchronizing with a reference signal from a terminal 12 and the composite video signal from which a time base fluctuation component is removed is outputted from a terminal 13. A PLL circuit 4 outputs a color sub-carrier phase-synchronizing with a horizontal synchronizing signal, the phase selecting circuit 4 detects the color framing information according to the control signal of the edge detector 8 and outputs to the color under VTR. In the VTR, the phase of the color sub-carrier can be correctly detected and the high frequency component of the luminance signal recorded and reproduced together with the chrominance signal can be added in the normal phase.
