PURPOSE:To increase incident light to a backward optical fiber by slanting end surfaces of a forward optical fiber and the backward optical fiber at a specific angle away from a fixed plate and a rotary reflecting plate. CONSTITUTION:Light which is projected from a slanting end surface 16 through the forward optical fiber 9 and passed through slits 6' of the fixed plate 6 is reflected by a slit 5' of the rotary plate 5 when one of slits 6' of the fixed plate 6 synchronizes with the slit 5' of the rotary reflecting plate. Then, the light passes through a slit 6' of the fixed plate 6 and then passes through a slanting end surface 18 and the core C of the backward optical fiber 10 and is photodetected by a photodetecting element. This light is deflected toward the center of the core C of the backward optical fiber, so it is incident accurately on the optical fiber core C by the slanting end surface 18 of the backward optical fiber 10 set on an optical path. Consequently, the quantity of photodetection of the photodetecting element increases.
