PURPOSE:To prevent functions from being deteriorated due to electrical noises, by switching one of charging electrodes from a connection with an image information signal source to the connection with a charge quantity detecting circuit, and thereafter starting a process for making appropriate the condition of ink droplets. CONSTITUTION:In an image-recording step 304, a movable contact 10a of a switch 10 is connected to a fixed contact 10b, and a movable contact 13a of a switch 13 is connected to a fixed contact 13b. A controlling circuit 15 determines an optimum value of an exciting voltage, and finishes a process for making appropriate the condition of ink droplets. Then, each switch is changed over, a switch 19 is turned ON in a step 314, and the input to a charge quantity detecting circuit 14 is grounded, for protecting the circuit 14 from noises generated in the next image-recording step and for preventing electric charges from being accumulated in a system comprising the circuit 14. In a step 315, the movable contact 10a is connected to the fixed contact 10b, and the movable contact 13a is connected to the fixed contact 13b. Image recording can be immediately started by applying an image information signal to charging electrodes 8, 9. |
