PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a power transistor and a cooling system by providing more than two coils having different number of turns to each pole of a magnetic bearing stator yoke then splitting the operating frequency range of each oil. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 1 is supported by two radial magnetic bearings and thrust magnetic bearings. The radial bearing stator coil 5 and thrust bearing stator coil 12 are constructed with plural coils having different number of turns, where a stator yoke 3 is wound with stator coils 5a-5h and currents are fed to the coils 5a, 5b when the displacement of the rotary shaft 1 in y-direction is controlled. While when the displacement of the rotary shaft 1 in x-direction is controlled, coils 5c, 5d, 5g, 5h are used. With respect to the thrust magnetic bearing, the power is conducted to the coils 12a, 12b in order to produce a magnetic attraction in z-direction while the power is conducted to the coils 12c, 12d in order to produce a magnetic attraction in reverse direction.
