发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled method by which printing can be performed with high density and high quality without generating ground contamination and a printed image can be corrected, by recording images on the surface of a hydrophilic high molecular weight substance layer of a recording medium by using a thermal transfer recording ink sheet comprising a layer of a heat-fusible substance and a thermoplastic resin layer, with a coloring agent incorporated in one of the layers. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer recording ink sheet comprises at least a layer comprising a heat-fusible substance as a main constituent on a base, and a layer thereon comprising a thermoplastic resin as a main constituent. A coloring agent is incorporated in at least one of the layers, preferably, the thermoplastic resin layer. When the surface of the component layer of the ink sheet is brought into contact with a hydrophilic surface of a recording medium and energy is supplied by a thermal recorder using a thermal head, a thermal pen or laser according to image information, the thermoplastic layer is supplied with relatively low energy, whereby the coloring agent or the like is transferred onto the recording medium together with the thermoplastic substance. Accordingly, images can be transferred with high printing quality, even where the hydrophilic surface of the recording medium is roughened by, for example, a matting agent.
