PURPOSE:To facilitate the diverse use of information for other facsimile equipments by forming duplicated data of destination information of communication and management information of a sent/received document stored in a storage device in an external storage device and restoring the duplicated data to the storage device. CONSTITUTION:Duplicated data of the destination and management information stored in a storage device is formed on an external storage device 9, and an auxiliary storage device restoring the duplicated data to the storage device is provided, and a main control section 2 controls the generation and restoration of the duplicated data of the auxiliary storage device 8 according to an instruction of the operation section 1. Thus, a communication destination information file and document management information file are backed up or the information is diverted to other file devices.
