PURPOSE:To improve the compatibility of a resin and to impart high impact resistance to a resin compsn., by incorporating a specified compd. in a resin composed of a polyphenylene ether resin and a polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin compsn. is obtd. by incorporating 0.01-10 pts.wt. compd. having a carbon-to-silicon bond (a), halogen or an alkoxyl group (b) and an alkyl, vinyl, acryl, methacryl, amino, epoxy or mercapto group (c) in 100pts.wt. the following resin mixture. The resin mixture is a mixture (i) of 5-95wt% polyphenylene ether resin and 95-5wt% polyamide resin or (ii) of 5-95wt% polyphenylene ether resin, 95-5wt% polyamide resin and 1-90wt% elastomer and/or rubber-modified styrene resin.
