PURPOSE:To warn an error detected as a line error and to specify which information processing unit raises the error by supervising a signal level on a network to which plural processing units are connected. CONSTITUTION:The 1 st data storage circuit 7 receives a write control signal from a synchronizing control circuit 6 to fetch an address data from an address detection circuit 5 and a level data from an AD conversion circuit 3. After the data of the normal state of plural information processing units connected to a communication medium 1 in the stage of the initial setting is fetched in the 1st data storage circuit 7, the data is inputted to the 2nd data storage circuit 8 via an operation processing circuit 9. The operation processing circuit 9 compares the data of the 2nd data storage circuit 8 representing the normal state with a value of the 1st data storage circuit 7 storing the data on the present network, informs the faulty state to an alarm circuit 10 when the fault is discriminated/ and informs the address of an information processing unit being faulty to an alarm address display circuit 11.
