<p>PURPOSE:To enable recording to be performed at a speed comparable to or higher than that of a semiconductor laser printer and obtain high-quality images through uniform feeding of a photosensitive body, by forming image information in a two-dimensional array form on a two-dimensional optical scanner, and controlling the movement of the photosensitive body in correspondence with a timing for forming the image information. CONSTITUTION:An image formed on a two-dimensional liquid crystal switch 1 is illuminated by a light source 3, and transmitted light is guided by reflectors 5, 5' to be transmitted through a lens 4 and form an image on a photosensitive body 2 being rotated. The body 2 is previously electrified by an electrifier 6, and an electrostatic latent image is formed on the body 2 upon exposure. In a period 8 in a preparatory period 15 for forming the electrostatic latent image, a picture signal is inputted to the liquid crystal switch 1, and is held as the image. The image thus formed on the liquid crystal switch 1 is illuminated by the light source 3 with a timing 9, and scanning is started with the reflectors 5, 5', whereby the photosensitive body 2 is exposed imagewise. The electrostatic latent image thus formed on the body 2 is developed by a toner, and the developed image is transferred onto a recording paper, whereby a fixed recorded image is formed.</p> |
