PURPOSE:To eliminate malfunction due to a resonance frequency and to detect acceleration by bringing a weight into contact with the sectioned front and rear, right and left, and upper and lower walls of a case filled with viscous liquid according to the direction of the acceleration operating on the weight, and applying electricity. CONSTITUTION:The weight 7 moves toward the front and rear walls 3a and 3a, right and left walls 3b and 3b, or upper and lower walls 3c and 3c corresponding to the direction of the acceleration and its moving force is larger than the energizing force of a spring 6 and attenuating force generated to the viscous liquid 10 charged in the case 2, so the weight 7 contacts the wall part 3 of the case 2. Consequently, a positive voltage is supplied to a reception part 13 through a lead line 8, the wall parts 3, and a lead line 5. This reception part 13 discriminates the lead line 5 through which the positive voltage is applied and discriminates the direction of the acceleration. In this case, the weight 7 decreases in acceleration amplitude ratio because of the viscous liquid 10 and is prevented from malfunctioning owing to the resonance frequency.
