<p>Snap hook, especially for mountain climbers, with a C-shaped element (1) the ends of which are connectable by a locking catch (3) to form a closed elongate ring (1, 3), to one narrow side (4) of which a holding element (6) is attached and to whose other narrow side (5) a guide region is formed for a safety cable (9). In order to prevent, in such snap hooks, the safety cable from being trapped between the guide region and the surface of the cliff-side (8), the elongate ring (1, 3) is provided with bends (10, 11), projections or a twist which, when the ring (1, 3) is appplied against a plane, keep the guide region at a distance from the latter.</p> |
