A clamp with a clamp shank (12) and two clamping stops (13, 14) arranged thereon at a variable longitudinal distance is proposed, at least one side shank (26) having a longitudinally adjustable clamping stop (13) being detachably fastened to the clamp shank (12) between the clamping stops (13, 14). By means of this side shank (26) it is also possible to clamp simply and securely parts arranged obliquely with respect to the clamp shank (12). <IMAGE>
